Theodore & Amalia Empty Theodore & Amalia

Post  happy Mon Aug 01, 2011 1:23 am

Theodore ran, and when he got tired of running, he flew. He traveled as quickly as possible. He ran away from his feelings and from the pain. The numbness didn't bother him anymore. The depressed angel had been at it for nearly a week now. He would need to come to a rest, to eat and to sleep. Theo thought about how his parents were preparing supper the last time he saw them; his gut wouldn't let him stop. That's when he realized he hadn't seen anyone, anything rather, since he had fled.

Theodore & Amalia Empty Re: Theodore & Amalia

Amalia strolled peacefully along the shore of the water. She had found her haven during the war right there, right by the ocean. It was serene, and she had never ran into anybody there. Not even once. How lucky she was to find a place like this! The warm sand tickled her tan feet, and the soothing ocean water crashed onto her ankles. The sun was slowly fading away from the sky, falling lower, hiding in the horizon. In result, the sky was a show of various hues, colors, and shades in the colors red, yellow, and pink. It was gorgeous. It might have been thought to be 'cheesy' to like the beach as much as she did. To her, it was like a romantic novel, and those were the books she loved reading.

She plopped down into the sand and dug her hands into the billions of grain spread across the shoreline. She closed her eyes, finally at peace. At home, there was always some drama that she didn't want to have to face. It was usually about the war. She couldn't really take the war. It was frightening, and she wasn't a soldier so she was practically useless. Being useless was something she wasn't very fond of. She wanted to be able to help in any way she possibly could. Though, since she was female she wasn't allowed. Hoe sexist.

She leaned back into the sand, her glorious white wings stretching before her. The sky was magnificent that night, and she didn't just say that about every sunset. It was truly beautiful that night. When she saw such fantastic sights like these she hoped they would never leave. That was when she saw something rapidly booming through the sky. She raised an eyebrow, narrowing her eyes at it. Amalia tried to make out a shape and then realized she was not the only angel at the shoreline.

Theodore & Amalia Empty Meeting

Post  happy Tue Aug 02, 2011 12:37 am

Theodore saw the sun setting. There was something magical about it that evening, the colors seemed unrealistic, as if they rightfully belonged in a painting framed on some museum wall. Lost in his thoughts and the playful colors, the mourning angel hadn't smelled the salty sea water until it was too late.

Theo knew she saw him, as she probably knew he was staring at her. Cautious, but not afraid in the least, he softly landed on the warm sand about twenty paces away from the first other angel besides his family he had encountered in a long time. She was thin; she could be the physical description of fragile to him. The stranger seemed as if she would have been happier if he hadn't disturbed her peace, but what could he do?

He strode closer and spoke, "Who are you?"

As Amalia kept her eyes on the angel, she noticed him easing himself to the ground. She grew a bit anxious, wondering who he was and why he was there. It was a bit obvious he had landed to speak to her. She smoothened her blouse and sat up straight, her gaze locked on the angel. He had began to approach her, but who wouldn't have? Seeing other angels were slightly rare for her, maybe anyone.

She found herself wondering whether or not if she should stand up and acknowledge him. Or maybe, he'd just start talking, and she wouldn't have to worry about it. She studied him again. He was slightly handsome, and she found herself staring at him for a short moment. She blinked when he spoke, averting her gaze to the ground.

Her name? He wanted to know her name? Or, was he asking for a history of some sort. No, that was stupid. Shaking the thought away, she stumbled to her feet and rubbed the nape of her neck. "You can call me Amalia." She said quickly, "And yourself?" She asked, raising an eyebrow at him curiously.

Theodore & Amalia Empty Meeting

Post  happy Thu Aug 04, 2011 1:58 am

Amalia was an interesting name. Theodore had never heard that name before, but then again he hadn't heard many names anyways. Her voice was soft, sweet, like angel food cake really. So the sweet sounding Amalia wanted to know about him. Was she to be trusted? Should he explain his recent misfortune? The poor angel was at a loss.

Theo stood there staring at the girl, Amalia, for a while as he pondered different replies he could say. Finally, he said, "I am Theodore Olle," he paused and thought for a moment again, "The loneliest angel alive."

He thought again of how his family was brutally murdered. He fell to the sand in anguish, loss, and pure hurt. Theodore didn't care that he looked like a child to this stranger who he didn't even know he could trust; he was blinded by his rage and pain.

Amalia watched him for a moment, but then he had introduced himself to be Theodore. "Nice to meet you Theodore Olle." She said, smiling. Once he continued, she raised a brow. "Now why is that?" she asked curiously. Though she knew it wasn't the best choice to be speaking to a random stranger and asking him questions like she had, her curiosity had a way of getting the best of her.

When he dropped to the ground, she raised a brow; then ever so tentatively, she approached him and dropped to her haunches. "Are you all right?" She would have placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder, however she was unsure how he would react to her touch; so she refrained from any physical contact.

Was it normal for somebody to just...drop? It seemed odd to her for some reason. Though it must have been because she was slightly secluded, usually keeping to herself. Without a response, she pressed, "Are you all right Theodore?"

Theodore & Amalia Empty Meeting

Post  happy Fri Aug 05, 2011 1:16 am

His emotions subsided and Theodore finally got himself together. However, he stayed on the ground, shifting his position so that he could see her face. Suddenly, the angel realized how foolish he must have looked to the stranger; he had been on the floor sobbing like an infant.

"Couldn't be better," he weakly attempted a smile, trying to forget his tragic loss, and turned towards the sea and the sun. Theo could feel her soft eyes staring at him, but he refused to give in and look back at her. Instead, he focused on the colors of the twilight and the sound of the crashing waves.

When he felt her hand on his shoulder the sorrowful, distressed angel finally realized he wasn't alone.

Amalia sat down in front of him. Sure she didn't know him, but everybody's feelings mattered. Was he crying? She wasn't entirely sure about that, though it didn't really matter to her. She pulled dark almond strands of hair from her eyes and studied his face for a moment.

"Are you sure?" she asked, not believing what he said entirely. Though tentatively, she smiled lightly. She followed his gaze to the horizon, and again smiled at the sunset. After a moment, she shook back into reality and looked at him, "Do you need somebody to talk to?" She asked curiously. He probably didn't want to talk to her since they had met only a few minutes ago.

He looked so empty. She honestly felt sorry for him; or was it that she felt the same?

Theodore & Amalia Empty Submergence

Post  happy Tue Aug 23, 2011 9:31 pm

Theodore was what you would call depressed and in a state of mental panic. He was desperate and furious; he was running out of hope. Would he ever find who was to blame? They would be long gone by now. There was no hope. He was alone and forever would be. Theodore lost everything he ever wanted in life - peace, love, family. He had nothing left to live for.

This girl he crashed into, why did she seem to care at all? He heard her words, but he wasn't listening. The angel ceased to allow tears be released from his eyes. Theo stood up and began to walk into the water, entranced in negativity. He knew what he would do.

The broken man didn't hear when the other angel started yelling at him in a confused manner. He didn't smell the salty joy of the sea. Theo only saw darkness that engulfed him completely. Without a sound, he continued to walk deeper and deeper into the sea until he was almost absolutely submerged. He looked up towards the sun, for what would be the last time, and dove deep into the water. Theodore did not plan on coming out.
